Chasing lightning bugs, playing hide–n-seek in the cornfields, eating watermelons and catching tadpoles are some of my fondest memories growing up with a large family in a small southern Missouri town. Raised in town known as the Gateway to the Ozarks, you will find a rural farming town where life is still much more simpler and a place I still love to call Home.
“Hard Work Then Play” I always say
My father taught me, literally, by making me work in the large gardens that life does not come on a silver platter. Coming from a farming family, complaining about the heat did not get me out of helping my father on the weekends. Once he felt the lesson had been learned for the day he would allow me to run off and play. It wasn’t that important for me to learn that lesson then, but now I know it was an invaluable lesson to never be forgotten. That day and many days after that my father taught me a work ethic that is hard to find.
Integrity is Doing What is Right When No One is Looking
At the young age of 17 I enlisted in the United States Air Force and remained in the military for 10 years. Integrity was drilled into me daily and I still remember my Training Instructor yelling “Integrity is doing what is right when no one is looking”. I live by that advice to this day and my experience in the military taught me to work hard, respect others even in difficult situations, be accountable for my actions and offer solutions to challenging issues. I made my way from a small town farm girl to a Technical Sergeant in the Air Force. The path I chose was life altering and considered one of my proudest and biggest accomplishments to me and to my family.
Making My Way
Taking life's lessons and experiences over the years has led me to a life of serving. I have served my country, my community by charitable service, and my clients. I take pride in obtaining the trust and loyalty of you. I am humbled at the many people in my life who have allowed me into their lives. Through growing families, empty nesters, first-time home buyers to investors, they look to me to make their real estate experience more sound and less stressful. No matter where life takes me I know that I will always serve others in some way, in some capacity. I bring my home-town values, my life experiences, training and I continue on my path to Serving the Desert the Heartland Way!
